About this place
The Ginza Mountain Donburi, generously topped with seafood, is one of the first dishes to catch the eye at Ginhachi’s Ginza branch. It is listed at ¥1,380 and makes a good choice for anyone wanting to sample a range of seafood in one bowl. A diner who chose it for lunch remarked on its attractive presentation and the freshness of the seafood. For an even more lavish version, the Ginza Mountain Donburi (Premium) adds scallops and salmon roe.
For a more focused combination, there is a three-kind donburi with tuna, salmon and negitoro (minced tuna with green onion), as well as the Wild-Caught Tuna & Negitoro Donburi, which centres on tuna. The lunch menu also lists Soy-Marinated Tuna & Egg Yolk Donburi and a negitoro bowl topped with a soft-boiled egg, both at ¥980. Choose between tuna with egg yolk or negitoro with a soft-boiled egg, depending on what sounds good for lunch.
Another diner described a seafood bowl chosen with tuna, salmon, sweet shrimp, sea urchin, scallops and salmon roe, noting the way the rice was cooked and the sweetness and savoury flavour of the scallops and shrimp. They also recommended pairing the cold seafood bowl with miso soup, a useful suggestion for anyone who would like something warm alongside the meal.
Ginhachi serves both lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant offers dine-in service as well as takeaway.
